The Member of Parliament for Gomoa East Constituency, Hon Kojo Asemanyi believes with the abundant football talents in his constituency he will make sure these talents are nurtured to get to the World Stage.
Hon. Kojo Asemanyi took the opportunity to make this pronouncement during the maiden edition of the HBC/Corporate Kicks Kasoa Soccer Fiesta which saw many football talents emerge in the two day competition.
The eight community tournament saw Kakraba Sunday Stars come as tops after beating Estate FC in the final to lift the ultimate.
With so much interest in sporting activities in the constituency, the young legislature took the opportunity to grade the Kakraba dilapidated pitch and also fixed new goal posts for the HBC/Corporate Kicks gala to come off successfully for talents to easily be spotted.
“There are abundant talents that seems untapped from what I saw in the competition .But it’s very important for such talents to be harvested because it’s one of the sure ways of improving the economic lives of these youths, their immediate families and the community as a whole,” he told Starr FM
“We are therefore looking around for opportunities for them to exhibit their talents even to the World stage,” he added.
However, three of the scouted players from the tournament are currently training with Premier League side Liberty Professionals
