The Founder of Clever Lines, Stephen Asiedu is appealing to established companies to give start-ups the opportunity to grow by periodically giving them jobs to test their strength and ability to deliver.
He explained that when established companies only focus on giving jobs to bigger companies, they kill the vision of start-ups who are also hopeful of growing big someday.
Speaking to Kasapa FM’s Leticia Ohene-Asiedu at the Kempinski Hotel after being adjudged winner for the Printing/Publishing category at the 40 under 40 awards, Stephen Asiedu said until established companies consider giving big jobs to young and promising companies, unemployment can never be resolved.
He said the Chinese market for startups is rapidly growing in size and clientele due to the opportunities given start-ups which have turned the country into a superpower on the world stage.
The award winner further appealed to the government to ensure that they pay start-ups who do jobs for them on time to enable them raise capital for the next available job.
“Some start-up companies often have their monies locked up with government and it often takes months or even years to receive payment. Remember that this is a start-up company and so delaying payment will greatly affect the company”, he said.
Stephen Asiedu expressed profound gratitude to God for giving him the strength to lead a young company and further dedicated the award to his team members, his customers, his mother and companies who believed in him by giving him jobs as a young start-up.
He said the award is empowering and a confidence booster for him.
