Accra Giants proved too strong for Zongo Lions after recording a 2-0 win over them in the 2019 MTN skate soccer.

The one-day event which was sponsored by MTN Ghana and Binatone under supervision of the international federation of skate soccer was to help select players to represent Ghana at next years Skate soccer Africa cup of nation’s which will be held in Ghana.
Accra Giants defeated Western Tiger’s from Takoradi 5-2 and went ahead to beat Zongo Lions from Kumasi by two goals to nil.
Accra Giants have set up an enthralling final against Ashanti warriors on November 30 in Accra.
Speaking after the event, CEO of the international federation of skate soccer Albert Frimpong was thrilled and excited as he is already looking forward to a great final.
“What we just witnessed here is something spectacular and as I have always been saying it’s my dream to keep these guys off the street and so far so good, we are on course.”
“Let me say a big thank you to our sponsors MTN and Binatone but obviously we will need more support from corporate Ghana to make this dream a reality” he added.
Meanwhile CEO of Binatone Venu Babu also pledged his unflinching support for skate soccer for the physically challenged in the country.
Skate soccer is a game dedicated to the development of the physically challenged in society with the main aim of getting them off the street.
