Vision football club have secured promotion to the Ghana Premier League after winning the Division One League Zone 3.
Vision managed the historic feat on Sunday, when they beat Uncle-T at the Nii Adjei Kraku Sports Complex.
Gideon Ofori opened the scoring for coach Hamza Obeng’s Vision FC on the stroke of half time, when he rose highest to nod home from a cross.
Back from recess, the visitors kept probing but could not find a way past Vision’s compact defensive shield.
On the hour mark, however, their persistence paid off when Felix Doku Narh levelled matters with a fine effort.
The home team had the final say when Frank Duku fetched the winner in the 83rd minute.
Vision, who are coached by former Hearts of Oak assistant coach Hamza Obeng, have now amassed 55 points, four more than rivals Hohoe United, who beat Susubiribi United FC 2-0 on Sunday.
Vision’s football club, have therefore secured qualification into the Ghana Premier league with one round of games left in the zone. They will take on already-relegated Susubiribi United.
