The Member of Parliament for Builsa South, Dr. Clement Apaak has donated to four women groups in the Builsa South constituency of the Upper East region.

In a statement signed by the Deputy Communication Officer for Builsa South, Daniel Akogtu stated that Dr. Apaak holds the view that empowering women plays a crucial role in fuelling community development in his constituency. He also believes that women would boost their self-confidence, and social status aid them in making financial decisions, and build resilience which would foster poverty eradication and social change.

In line with this, Dr Apaak has made women in his constituency a priority and supported them by donating Twenty-Thousand Ghana cedis (20,000.00) to four women groups in the Builsa South Constituency to help cover the connection of electricity to two (2) rice mills, and the roofing of two(2) other structures, namely a rice mill and a conference hall.

This help was extended to women groups at Buterisa, Logmiisa, Yerinsa, and Zongo all in Fumbisi. Each group received Five Thousand cedis (5,000.00) from Dr. Apaak.

Hon. Dr. Clement Apaak Supports Four (4) Women Groups In Builsa South.

The Member of Parliament and Parliamentary Candidate for Builsa South, Dr. Clement Abas Apaak unquestionably holds the view that empowering women is a strong pillar that propels community development in his constituency.

Dr. Apaak believes that women empowerment increases their self-confidence and social status. This is because they are able to make their own financial decisions and build resilience towards poverty eradication as well as social change.

Accordingly, Dr. Apaak has always made women in his constituency a priority by supporting them both in cash and kind as part of his plans to building the Builsa South Constituency that he has always desired to. It is against this background that the Hon. MP donated Twenty Thousand Ghana Cedi’s ( 20,000.00) to Four (4) women groups in the Builsa South Constituency to help cover the connection of electricity to two (2) rice mills, and the roofing of two(2) other structures, namely a rice mill and a conference hall. This help was extended to women groups at Buterisa, Logmiisa, Yerinsa, and Zongo all in Fumbisi. Each group received Five Thousand Cedi’s (5,000.00) from Dr. Apaak.

Presenting the cash to the various groups on behalf of the Member of Parliament, Chairman Caesar Akinkang encouraged the women groups to use the money for the intended purposes as that will motivate the MP to always be ready to reach out to them anytime the need arises. Chairman Caesar reiterated Dr. Clement Apaak’s preparedness to support the less privileged, women, and the youth to harness their potential in all spheres of their life.

The women groups were in jubilant moods when Chairman Caesar announced the cash amount to them and assured him of their readiness to retain Dr. Clement Apaak as their MP so that he can continue his good works.

Signed.
