President John Mahama Sunday named Brigadier General Glover Ashong Annan as the new Commissioner of the Customs Division of Ghana Revenue Authority.
In a statement signed by the Minister of Government Communications, Felix Kwakye Ofosu, he noted that the military leader had been charged to chart a new path for the Customs Division by helping it meet its revenue targets.
“Brig. Gen. Annan is a well-respected, dedicated, principled, and patrioMc Commissioned Officer of the Ghana Army. He is expected to reset the Customs Division and support the Ghana Revenue Authority to meet its targets as we work towards fixing the economy,” the statement read.
Brigadier General Annan previously served as Presidential Security Coordinator.
The statement also thanked the outgoing head of the institution, Brigadier General Ziblim Ayorrogo for his public service.
