Youth employment expert and SFAN Founder Tom-Chris Emewulu is set to break his 100-hour Guinness World Record during Global Student Entrepreneurship Week 2025.

Tom-Chris Emewulu, the celebrated edtech entrepreneur and visionary founder of Stars From All Nations (SFAN), will attempt to break the Guinness World Record for the Longest Interviewing Marathon from October 28 to November 1, 2025.

For over 100 consecutive hours, Tom-Chris will conduct non-stop interviews with entrepreneurs, leaders, and changemakers from around the world: all to spotlight the power of youth empowerment and African ingenuity on the global stage.

This isn’t Emewulu’s first attempt. In 2024, he completed 100 gruelling hours of continuous interviews, but technical recording issues prevented official validation. Where others might have quit, Emewulu saw opportunity.

“My work has always been about impact beyond myself. Breaking the Guinness World Record for the Longest Interviewing Marathon reinforced my long-held belief that nothing is impossible,” says Tom-Chris Emewulu. “This second attempt is my platform to inspire young Africans to break the limits, even if it means trying again.”

More Than a Record: A Mission

For Tom-Chris, breaking this record is deeply personal. Since 2013, he has dedicated his career to bridging the gap between education and employment for African youth through his organisation, Stars From All Nations.

Through SFAN’s ReadyforWork program, Emewulu has helped hundreds of young Africans launch meaningful careers. Beneficiaries have gone on to secure prestigious opportunities, including the Mandela Washington Fellowship grant funding.

The world record attempt will serve as the official launch for ReadyforWork v4, an enhanced AI-powered career platform designed to equip African youth with in-demand skills and connect them to employment opportunities across the continent and beyond.

A Proven Leader with Vision

Tom-Chris Emewulu’s track record speaks for itself:

  • 12 years building SFAN from a classroom initiative to a continental youth development organisation, earning a feature on the NY Times Square billboard from the Nasdaq Entrepreneurial Centre.
  • Strategic partnerships with leading institutions, including Visa, GFA Consulting, Seedstars, and Samsung Ghana.
  • Thought leadership at high-profile platforms, including the US-Ghana Business Expo, World Bank Ghana End Poverty Day, and the Omniverse Conference.
  • Recognition for reshaping how young Africans approach entrepreneurship and career development, including a social impact nomination from the Global Entrepreneurship Festival.

In 2020, Tom-Chris’s work for the Mastercard Foundation through Arizona State University was used to inform digital mentorship strategies across Africa. In 2023, Tom-Chris led the African Fashion Futures Incubator, supporting 14 high-growth designers from Nigeria, Ghana, and Rwanda. Leading a team of African and Swiss operators, he partnered with executives at McKinsey, H&M, Sprayground, Microsoft, and other global brands to deliver an exceptional program, achieving 100% participant satisfaction.

Emewulu’s persistence with this record has earned him backing from Ghanaian media mogul Bola Ray and GHOne TV, who are providing strategic partnership support for this year’s attempt.

“I had the pleasure of working with Tom-Chris on two major projects—the YALI Regional Leadership Program and The Guinness Book of Records Challenge—and I have since followed the incredible initiatives of SFAN. His dedication, vision, and leadership are truly inspiring,” says Ike Nwibe, Executive Director, Cecil Community Centre. “Tom-Chris is a natural leader with an exceptional ability to connect with people. His presence commands attention in the best way possible, bringing energy and motivation to any room he enters. His impact on youth entrepreneurship development is remarkable, making him a true reference point in the field. I highly recommend him to anyone looking for a dynamic and visionary leader.”

The Marathon Details

What: 100+ hours of continuous interviews with entrepreneurs and leaders
When: October 28 – November 1, 2025 (Global Student Entrepreneurship Week)
Where: Spintex, Accra, Ghana (with virtual interviews from around the world)
Goal: Break Guinness World Record while launching ReadyforWork v4

The individual marathon will be professionally documented and broadcast through SFAN and its partner’s platforms, ensuring proper validation and maximum visibility.

Why This Matters

In a continent where youth unemployment remains a critical challenge, Emewulu’s marathon represents something bigger than athletic endurance. It’s a statement that African youth deserve global platforms, sustained attention, and meaningful investment.

“If I can sit for 100 hours to create opportunities for young people, then surely we can all commit to building the systems they need to thrive,” Emewulu says.

How to Support

  • Media Coverage: Share Tom-Chris’s story and the mission behind the attempt
