The Ghana Police Service has arrested three additional suspects in connection with the daylight armed robbery at a gold jewellery shop in Adabraka, bringing the total number of arrests in the case to seven.
In a statement on Tuesday, January 20, 2026, the Police said the latest suspects — Fatao Mohammed, also known as “Motorway”, Nashiru Abubakari, also known as “Soldier”, and Sadick Abubakar Satire, popularly called “50 Cent” — were arrested on January 19, 2026.
According to the Police, the three are believed to be the main gang leaders behind the robbery.
The robbery occurred on November 2, 2024, when armed men attacked a jewellery shop in broad daylight at Adabraka in the Greater Accra Region and made away with approximately GH¢7.5 million.

Confirming the development, the Police stated that the latest arrests bring the total number of suspects apprehended so far to seven.
“The Ghana Police Service has arrested three more suspects in connection with the daylight armed robbery attack on a jewellery shop at Adabraka in the Greater Accra Region,” the statement said.
It added that, “The three are believed to be the main gang leaders of the robbery syndicate.”
The Police assured the public that investigations are still ongoing to identify and arrest other accomplices linked to the crime.
