The Ministry of Youth and Sports has revealed that the final financial package for the newly appointed Black Stars head coach, Carlos Queiroz, is still being negotiated.
According to the Technical Adviser to the Minister of Youth and Sports, Betty Mensah Krosby, the exact details of his compensation and performance bonuses have not been officially signed off.
She also clarified that while a broad agreement exists, the finer details of the remuneration structure are still being ironed out to ensure they align with the national budget and performance expectations.
“The final remenuration of Black Stars coach Carlos Queiroz is discussion,” she told Starr Sports.
The veteran Portuguese was appointed to steer the affairs of Ghana’s national team toward the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
He replaced Otto Addo, who was sacked in March.
Quieroz had previously managed Manchester United, Portugal, Iran, and Egypt.
He has been given a four month contract, which is subject to his renewal based on his performance at the 2026 World Cup.
