Ghanaian musician Mr Drew has called for artiste rivalries to deliver commercial benefits, arguing that musical beefs should generate money or increase the relevance of the artistes involved.
Speaking to Krakye on Rythymz Interactive on GHOne TV, Mr Drew said rivalries in the music industry should serve a meaningful purpose beyond personal disagreements.
“I think if we are beefing each other, it should bring us relevance or money,” he stated.
He suggested that artistes involved in beefs should explore ways to turn their rivalries into commercially viable ventures rather than engaging in exchanges that offer no tangible benefits.
As part of his proposal, Mr Drew suggested that companies could sponsor boxing matches between rival artistes, with the musicians competing for cash prizes.

The idea, he indicated, could provide a way to monetise artiste rivalries while creating entertainment opportunities for fans.
Mr Drew’s proposal offers an alternative perspective on artiste beefs, placing emphasis on financial returns and increased relevance as measures of their value.
