Alleged Drug Trafficking: Bring your evidence – Jantuah to Ntim Fordjour

Kwame Jantuah, a leading member of the Convention People’s Party (CPP) and legal practitioner, is calling on Assin South MP Rev. John Ntim Fordjour to provide evidence supporting his allegations of drug trafficking and money laundering.

Rev. Fordjour claimed two suspicious aircraft landed at Kotoka International Airport, prompting President John Dramani Mahama to urge him to collaborate with the National Security Team to substantiate his claims. However, Rev. Fordjour failed to do so.

The situation sparked controversy, with many perceiving Rev. Fordjour’s actions as an attempt to tarnish the government’s reputation.

Operatives from the National Intelligence Bureau stormed his residence on April 9, raising questions about the government’s approach.

Speaking on the Weekly Review Segment on Morning Starr with Naa Dedei Tettey, Mr. Jantuah expressed disapproval of the security approach but also questioned the intent of the MP.

He questioned why Rev. Fordjour didn’t follow protocol by sharing his concerns with the committee or party leadership before going public.

Mr. Jantuah emphasized that Rev. Fordjour should provide evidence to support his claims.

He said, “….What I don’t understand is the fact that the president had already indicated a trajectory and in indicating that trajectory, he specified one person to work with the National security, thus Ntim Fordjour, so what went wrong? We then heard that he was talking on behalf of the Committee. Has the committee collaborated what he said? So what’s all the hulabaloo for? Because what Nti Fordjour should be able to do is to show evidence, that’s all.

He added, “When he heard it, he’s a ranking member, he should’ve told his fellow ranking that ‘boy, I have this information, I think the committee should have a look at and see what we can do about it’. If he couldn’t give his Committee the evidence, he has his party, ‘party leader, this is very sensitive information I have stumbled on, how do you think we should handle it? Should we handle it through the committee or as a party, should we handle it that way’, we didn’t hear that……But was he playing to the gallery when he then decide he will go on social media and have a press conference, I didn’t understand that thing.”
