Pan-African Radio and Television Broadcaster, Anita Erskine, has intensified her resolve to advocate for Women Empowerment by spearheading a whole new generation of Television and Radio Programming which will be partnered by the EIB Network and syndicated globally.

This new development will see Anita traveling to over 50 countries profiling, interacting with and highlighting the achievements of more than 300 African Women and Women of African descent. Through the Starr Woman Dream Edition, she will also provide Mentorship support to women entrepreneurs with disability.

Guided by the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) #5 for Gender Equality, Erskine, who is the reigning Female Radio Host of the Year twice over and hosts the Starr Drive with Giovanni Caleb, founded the Women’s Elevation Fund (WEF) in 2016 to use Girls Education as a facilitator of the realization of Dreams and ultimately, Women Empowerment. Now she will convert all her key learnings, journeys, interests and focus into audio visual property.

“The ‘hope’ that we can empower Women is almost null if we don’t follow it up with action. From where I sit one of the most important paths to Empowerment is through Education, Information and Communication. It is our time to hold each other’s hand onwards and upwards. Africa’s emergence depends on its Women. And I am extremely proud that EIB and I will bring the essence of Women as Leaders, to audiences in every corner of the globe. God is with us all the way. We are blessed. 2018 is going to be the year I have been working so hard towards. I am so grateful,” Erskine comments.

In April 2017, Anita also took home the Protector of Women and Girl Child Rights Award by the Africa Media Network. Later last year, she also won the Award for Outstanding Commitment to Women Empowerment at the 40 under 40 Excellence Awards held in Accra. On January 4, 2018, she won yet another Award for her work with Women and Girls, from the Neesim Organization.

“Anita’s level of commitment to everything she sets her mind to, is overwhelmingly exemplary. The decision for this partnership was borne out of her undying passion for the Socio – Economic advancement of Women and our acknowledging the importance of growing with our talent. Last year, as the face of the Starr Woman Project 2017, it was undeniable that she had a powerful focus and an unwavering commitment to Women all over the World.

“As such, it was of utmost importance to us at EIB to furnish Anita with something that could feed her insatiable desire to conquer the world of Media with a special emphasis on Women and Women’s Issues. Anita is without a doubt the Oprah of our generation and we can’t wait for you to see, hear and be inspired by what she is bringing to radio and television in 2018!” says Nathan Kwabena Anokye Adisi (Bola Ray), CEO of EIB Network.

Anita Erskine begins her new shows in May 2018 on Starr FM and GHOne TV.
