The National Democratic Congress (NDC) has pledged to hold individuals accountable for any state looting following their victory in the 2024 presidential and parliamentary elections.

In a press address, the party’s National Communications Officer, Sammy Gyamfi, expressed the NDC’s commitment to ensuring accountability.

“Comrades, our hard fought and long-awaited victory has finally arrived. Let’s celebrate this victory responsibly and trust the incoming NDC/Mahama government to do the needful in accordance with the rule of law,” Gyamfi stated.

Over the years, many Ghanaians have called for those responsible for state capture under the Akufo-Addo-Bawumia administration to be held accountable.

The NDC has reiterated its commitment to addressing these concerns in its upcoming term.

Additionally, the party condemned acts of vandalism, mob justice, and any form of lawless retribution, emphasizing that such actions pose a threat to the peace and stability of the nation.

“The vandalism of state property, mob justice and any form lawless retribution have the potential to undermine the peace and stability of our dear nation, hence unacceptable.
