Equity Health Insurance, one of the leading health insurance providers in Ghana is poised to host the second edition of its signature event, ‘The Insurance Hub’, scheduled for October 30, 2024, at Wesley Towers, Methodist Church Ghana Conference Office, West Ridge, Accra.

This year’s edition is themed “Crafting Insurance Solutions: A Collaborative Approach Through the Client’s Lens,” the event aims to bring together industry leaders, policyholders, and stakeholders to discuss evolving client needs and shape future insurance solutions.

Building on the success of the inaugural edition, this year’s Insurance Hub will explore ways in which insurance providers can better understand and meet the expectations of clients by adopting a more collaborative approach. The forum will feature panel discussions, keynote speeches from experts in health finance, and workshops that explore innovative solutions to existing challenges in the insurance landscape

‘The Insurance Hub’ is an initiative by Equity Health Insurance aimed at addressing pertinent issues within the healthcare and insurance sectors in Ghana, with a focus on improving access to quality health services.

Equity Health Insurance CEO, Dr Elton Fedrick Afari, highlighted the importance of focusing on the client experience in today’s competitive landscape. “Insurance is no longer just about products and policies. It’s about how we engage with our clients, understand their needs, and provide tailored solutions that genuinely add value. The Insurance Hub is an opportunity for all stakeholders to reimagine how we work together with our clients at the forefront.”

The event is expected to attract a wide range of participants, including insurance executives, brokers, corporate clients, and regulators. Discussions will focus on key themes such as innovative insurance technologies, customer-centred policy design, and strategic partnerships that foster trust and long-term relationships.

As part of its ongoing commitment to improving public health, Equity Health Insurance plans to unveil new insurance packages during the event, tailored to meet the needs of individuals, families, and businesses. The new offerings are expected to provide greater flexibility and affordability for clients.

The event will also feature a networking session, during which attendees can share insights and explore potential collaborations.

Attendees can expect to engage in high-level discussions on key policy reforms and innovations that could shape the future of health insurance in the country. The event is also expected to serve as a networking platform, allowing participants to share ideas and collaborate on initiatives aimed at improving the quality and reach of healthcare services.

The first edition of the Insurance Hub, held in 2023, was hailed as a major success. It gathered key stakeholders and created a forum for open dialogue about the future of health insurance in Ghana. It drew over 200 participants from the insurance and healthcare sectors. This year’s forum promises to build on that foundation, with a more expansive agenda and a wider range of industry representation.

Registration for the event is currently open and can be accessed through the official Equity Health Insurance website and social media
