Five school children who tragically lost their lives in a devastating accident at Nkawkaw in Eastern Region will be laid to rest today.

The victims are Gafatsi Marcus (3yrs), Asare Joseph (9yrs), Kwasi Nyarko Larry (12yrs), Acher Binney (4yrs), and Jerome Harmenu (7yrs).

Meanwhile the one week observation of the alleged pregnant teacher, Dorcas Dede, 36-years who also died will precede the burial of the deceased children.

The fatal crash occurred on February 15, 2024, involving an Ampea Memorial school bus and state-registered vehicle for a District Chief Executive travelling on Accra to Kumasi highway.

Though seventeen children were injured in the ghastly accident, they have since been treated and discharged from hospitals in Nkawkaw and Koforidua.

Families grappling with the unimaginable loss are gathered in grief.
