Hollard Ghana has won the Product of the Year Award (Services) for its Asomdwee MSME Insurance for the second time at the 37th Annual National Marketing Performance Awards organised by the Chartered Institute of Marketing, Ghana (CIMG).

The award recognises the insurance product’s contribution to improving access to affordable and relevant insurance protection for Ghanaian micro, small and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs).

Developed through a strategic partnership between Hollard Ghana and a trade association, Asomdwee MSME Insurance is designed to address the everyday risks and vulnerabilities faced by small businesses.

The insurance package provides protection against fire, floods and allied perils, damage to business assets and public liability. It also incorporates life benefits for business owners and employees, covering life-altering events such as disability and critical illness.

Commenting on the recognition, Daniel Boi Addo, Managing Director of Hollard Insurance, said the award affirmed the company’s commitment to developing insurance solutions that address the needs of Ghanaians.

He noted that small businesses play an essential role in Ghana’s economic growth but remain exposed to risks that could threaten their survival.

“Through Asomdwee, we are helping entrepreneurs protect what they have worked hard to build and giving them greater confidence to grow their businesses,” he said.

Addo added that the recognition would encourage the company to continue developing insurance solutions that make coverage more accessible, relevant and valuable.

Sosthenes Konutsey, Managing Director of Hollard Life, highlighted the importance of protecting employees and business owners through the product’s embedded life benefits.

“Every business is built on people and protecting them is just as important as protecting the business itself,” he said.

He explained that the life benefits extend financial protection to business owners and their workers, helping safeguard the families and futures that depend on them.

Hollard Ghana said Asomdwee offers flexible bronze, silver and gold packages to provide businesses of different sizes with affordable and tailored insurance protection.

The company said the product’s latest recognition reinforces its commitment to making insurance more accessible and relevant to businesses across Ghana.

Hollard Ghana comprises two subsidiaries, Hollard Insurance and Hollard Life Assurance, and provides insurance solutions across motor, home, business, life, funeral and agriculture.
