Great brands are determined by their longevity and of course their reputation. How people perceive a brand can either make or break it.

Similarly, for musicians and music brands to be seen as relevant, it is imperative for them to be in the public eye but for the right reasons. Social media and getting featured in reputable websites, news articles and magazines is one way to help musicians and brands reach a massive audience for all the attention and admiration they seek to grow.

Leaving the way people perceive your brand in the hands of the media, will give you no control of your narrative and any writer or blogger can use a minute to destroy a brand you’ve put in work to build for years. This is the reason most notable brands and celebrities rely on professionals to maintain their positive impact all over social media and the internet as a whole. Godwin Mitchual, is a music entrepreneur who is saving businesses and celebrities from the dark side of the web by managing their reputation on digital platforms.

Godwin Mitchual is part of a growing community of African music enthusiasts who are interested in elevating African music by educating musicians and music brands on the importance of the music business.

Currently residing in Accra, Ghana in West Africa, Godwin Mitchual is the Co-founder of Unorthodox Media, Music journalist and Editor for Unorthodox Reviews as well as a publicist at UR-PR, a reputable music PR agency in Africa.

Godwin was fascinated by the power of social media and how it could affect the public relations of individuals or brands at an early age. Now with his PR agency UR-PR, Godwin Mitchual helps manage the reputations of mainstream and not-so-mainstream the musicians by controlling their narrative and getting them featured in reputable blogs and media outlets.

In the span of his career, Godwin Mitchual has had the pleasure of profiling major names in the music industry such as Amaarae, Seyi Shay, Efya, M.anifest, Cheque, Rachel Kerr, JoyRukanza and Anthony Yeboah of the legendary Ghanaian band Vis-A-Vis for publications such as Pan African Music, Unorthodox Reviews and GQ South Africa.

According to Godwin, he is just getting started and there is a lot more for him to explore. “The world of social media is constantly changing. A year ago, NFTs were not as popular as they are now. So we all ought to study and observe the changing patterns in technology.” Godwin is always looking for new ways to upgrade his skills to ensure his clients get the most out of his services.

Apart from working with musicians and music brands, he is also an expert at social media marketing. He helps brands to accelerate sales by generating more leads. His endeavors have helped many people realize the true strength of social media platforms. He aspires to continue his journey on the same track of helping as many entrepreneurs as possible along the way.
