Minister of Sports and Recreation Kofi Adams, has lauded the vibrant spirit and growth of Ghanaian football following his attendance at the 7th Ghana Football Awards held at the Grand Arena in Accra.
In a heartfelt message shared after the event, Kofi Adams described the night as an electrifying celebration of Ghana’s football excellence, unity, and ambition.
“It was an honour to join Ghana’s football family at the 7th Ghana Football Awards. The spirit of the game truly came alive,” he remarked. “Players, legends, coaches, media, and fans gathered to honour those raising the flag of Ghana high on both local and international stages.”
The evening’s highest honour, Footballer of the Year, went to Black Stars midfielder Thomas Partey, who was praised by the Minister as a “symbol of consistency, discipline, and excellence.”
“He continues to make Ghana proud on the global stage,” Adams noted.
Beyond the marquee awards, the Minister applauded the recognition given to young talents, champions in women’s football, dedicated coaches, and behind-the-scenes heroes, describing it as a testament to how far Ghanaian football has evolved and the promise of even greater heights to come.

Concluding his message, Kofi Adams reaffirmed the Ministry’s commitment to the sport.
“As a Ministry, we remain committed to building a stronger football ecosystem where talent meets opportunity and Ghana leads with pride. We don’t just play football. We live it. We celebrate it. We grow it.”
