President John Dramani Mahama has revoked the position of Professor Ken Agyemang Attafuah as the Executive Secretary of the National Identification Authority (NIA).
The letter, addressed to Professor Attafuah, directed him to transfer his responsibilities to Wisdom Kwaku Deku, who will assume the role of acting Executive Secretary.
The directive, issued by the Office of the President and signed by Callistus Mahama is effective immediately.
The letter, dated 16th January 2025, stated:
I write to formally inform you that H.E. John Dramani Mahama, President of the Republic of Ghana, has revoked your position as the Executive Secretary of the National Identification Authority (NIA), effective immediately.
You are directed to hand over your duties to Wisdom Kwaku Deku, who shall act as the Executive Secretary of the Authority.
The President extends his gratitude for your service to the nation.
