 The leadership of National Democratic Congress (NDC) in Navrongo Central Constituency has announced the death of the former interior Minister, Mark Owen Woyongo.

In a statement signed by the Constituency Communication Officer, Babere Alagewe Lemuel Kelly disclosed that the sad new occurred in the late hours of Wednesday January 17, 2024

“Hon. Woyongo was not only a respected politician but also a compassionate leader who tirelessly served the people of Navrongo Central. His unwavering commitment to the betterment of our community and his relentless efforts to uplift the lives of our constituents will always be remembered and cherished.

“During his tenure as the MP for Navrongo Central, Hon. Woyongo exemplified the true essence of public service. He tackled various challenges head-on, championed the interests of our constituents, and worked tirelessly to bring about positive change in our constituency,” the Communication Officer stated.

The former Member of Parliament retired from politics in 2016 after he lost the 2016 election.

Mark Woyongo was a former MP of Navrongo, former Interior Minister, owner, and Chief Executive Officer of Tamale-based Diamond FM.

Sad News: Demise of Hon. Mark Owen Woyongo, Former MP for Navrongo Central

It is with heavy hearts and deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Hon. Mark Owen Woyongo, the former Member of Parliament for Navrongo Central. Hon. Woyongo, a dedicated and esteemed member of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), left us in the late hours of yesterday 17,January 2024

Hon. Woyongo was not only a respected politician but also a compassionate leader who tirelessly served the people of Navrongo Central. His unwavering commitment to the betterment of our community and his relentless efforts to uplift the lives of our constituents will always be remembered and cherished.

During his tenure as the MP for Navrongo Central, Hon. Woyongo exemplified the true essence of public service. He tackled various challenges head-on, championed the interests of our constituents, and worked tirelessly to bring about positive change in our constituency.

The loss of Hon. Woyongo is not only deeply felt by the NDC family but also by the entire Navrongo community. We have lost a remarkable leader, a compassionate soul, and a true advocate for progress.

As we mourn the passing of Hon. Mark Owen Woyongo, let us also remember and celebrate his remarkable legacy. His dedication, passion, and commitment to the people of Navrongo Central will forever be an inspiration to us all.

On behalf of the NDC Communication Team, and the entire Constituency Executive Committee we extend our deepest condolences to the family of Hon. Mark Owen Woyongo and the entire Navrongo NDC party members. Our thoughts and prayers are with you during this difficult time.
