Mövenpick Hotels & Resorts has launched the 10th edition of its global charity initiative, Kilo of Kindness, celebrating a decade of generosity that has touched lives across the world.
Running from October 13 to November 14, 2025, the campaign will see more than 70 Mövenpick hotels and resorts in nearly 30 countries unite to collect food, clothing, educational materials, and other essentials for local communities.
Launched in 2015, the Kilo of Kindness initiative began with a simple idea; that one kilo of donations could make a difference. Ten years on, it has grown into a global movement of compassion, amassing over 100,000 kilos of donations, supporting hundreds of NGOs, and transforming communities worldwide.
“This milestone is a celebration of what can be achieved when generosity becomes a shared purpose,” said Benoît Racle, Global Brand President, Premium, Accor. “At Mövenpick, kindness is not just a gesture; it defines who we are. Every kilo donated represents lives uplifted and communities strengthened.”
This year’s anniversary coincides with World Kindness Week, reinforcing Mövenpick’s mission to use hospitality as a force for good. The 2025 edition will highlight ten inspiring stories from across the globe, showcasing how donations have improved access to food, clothing, shelter, and education in various communities.
Accra Edition
In Ghana, Mövenpick Ambassador Hotel Accra has partnered with Happy Family Home, a local organisation focused on vocational training and capacity building for orphans, street children, and school dropouts. The collaboration ensures that all donations made in Accra directly support vulnerable groups within the local community.

“Hospitality goes beyond providing comfort; it’s about uplifting the communities we belong to,” said Mr. Isaac Okpoti Adjei, General Manager of Mövenpick Ambassador Hotel Accra. “Through our partnership with Happy Family Home, we are extending the spirit of generosity that defines Mövenpick, turning acts of kindness into real change.”
Guests, travellers, and residents are encouraged to participate by bringing non-perishable food, clothing, school supplies, toys, and household items to the Mövenpick Ambassador Hotel Accra lobby from October 13 to November 14, 2025. Donations will be distributed directly to beneficiaries through local charity partners.
