His Majesty Otumfuo Osei Tutu II is set to unveil a bespoke commemorative gold coin box featuring built-in screens that will showcase a documentary on his peace initiatives.
The Otumfuo Commemorative Gold Coin Box, which houses a 24-karat one-ounce gold coin bearing the Asantehene’s image; approved by the Bank of Ghana; will be unveiled at the World Meets in Ghana Executive Dinner Ball. The event is being held in honour of the King as a Pillar of Peace.
The ceremony is scheduled for Friday, April 24, 2026, at the Otumfuo Osei Tutu II Jubilee Hall at the Manhyia Palace.
Unique Design and Features
The customised gold coin box is described as the first of its kind globally, with no known precedent among monarchs or traditional leaders.
It features two rechargeable touchscreens: a primary screen displaying a documentary on Otumfuo’s peace-building efforts, and a secondary mini screen presenting an animated display of the gold coin.

Additional Commemorative Pieces
Other items to be unveiled at the event include:
•Otumfuo Commemorative Gold Bars and Tablets in multiple weights, ranging from 1 gram to 5 ounces
• Commemorative artworks embossed with the gold coin
• A 24-karat wristwatch

The commemorative pieces are designed to reflect Otumfuo Osei Tutu II’s legacy as a mediator and stabilising force.
The gold coin box, with its embedded documentary, highlights his peace initiatives, while the gold bars symbolise prosperity derived from harmony. The wristwatch represents the enduring relevance of his leadership and counsel.
Organisers say the initiative seeks to immortalise the Asantehene’s contributions and share his legacy with global audiences, including world leaders, the African diaspora, and the international community.
