Deputy Minister for Education, Dr. Clement Abas Apaak, has said that Ghana’s future growth and competitiveness depend largely on sustained investment in education.

Speaking in Accra at the official launch of Rosebank International University College, Dr. Apaak explained that the government’s “Reset Ghana” agenda gives priority to education because of its role in training the country’s workforce and empowering the youth.

“Our manifesto is front-heavy on education, and that is for good reason,” he said. “If Ghana is to develop the labour force needed for national progress, and if we want to remain competitive in the 21st century, then we have no choice but to invest in education.”

The Deputy Minister noted that Ghana’s youthful population presents both opportunities and challenges, and insisted that the public sector alone cannot provide enough space for higher learning and skills training. He therefore welcomed the entry of Rosebank International University College and other private institutions into Ghana’s education space.

“The public sector cannot carry this burden alone,” Dr. Apaak stated. “We need the private sector to create avenues for our young men and women to acquire the training that will make them productive to their families, their nation, and the global community.”

Commending Rosebank’s track record in South Africa, he said he was confident the university would deliver affordable, modern, and quality education in Ghana. He further assured the institution of the government’s partnership, adding, “The Ministry of Education has always maintained an open-door policy. We will complement your efforts to ensure the goals you have set in Ghana are achieved for our collective benefit.”

The launch of Rosebank International University College adds to Ghana’s expanding higher education landscape, offering students new opportunities for professional and academic training at a time when demand for tertiary education continues to grow.

The Institution’s Master of Business Administration is designed for professionals seeking to elevate their expertise and leadership skills, the Master of Business Administration programme at Rosebank International University College offers the tools needed to succeed in an increasingly competitive and dynamic global business environment. This qualification empowers graduates to develop critical thinking, drive innovation, and lead organisations with a strong foundation in ethics and strategic management.
