Softcare FM Manufacturing company has commemorated the 2026 International Menstrual Hygiene Day, with a campaign highlighting the critical role of youth-led leadership in driving community wellness and successfully creating safe spaces for open, shame-free conversations about menstrual dignity.

The theme for this year “Period Friendly World” which underscores the need for collective efforts to build a society where menstruation is no longer surrounded by stigma, saw the Softcare company donating their products to vulnerable women and school girls by way of giving back to society.

Key among the benevolence was a partnership with the Women Commission of the Takoradi Technical University (TTU) in hosting a menstrual hygiene education campaignacross Takoradi, where premium sanitary pads were distributed to empower hundreds of local junior high school girls.

Recognized by Frost and Sullivan, as the pacesetter in both the baby diaper and the sanitary pad markets in Africa in terms of production volume, the Softcare FM manufacturing company has for the past two decades, proven more than just a brand, to a titan for high-quality assurance of protecting the dignity of women and children globally, while remaining the game changer in Ghana’s household and personal care markets as well as covering over 30 countries in Africa, Latin America and Asia.

In Ghana, Softcare has the capacity to produce about 7 million packs monthly, and deliver consistent supply at scale, at competitive price, with more than 1000 employees, 90 percent being locals, most of them women. The company’s contribution to the local economy goes far beyond products and generosity. It has remained fully tax-compliant by contributing millions of Ghana cedis to the Ghana Revenue Authority (GRA) since its operations, making it a dependable partner in national development.

The company is ISO 9001 certified for Quality Management, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001. These certifications warrant that Softcare FM Manufacturing Company Limited, maintains consistent product quality, environmentally responsible operations, and safe working environments, while complying with the Food and Drugs Authority (FDA) and Ghana Standard Authority (GSA) regulatory requirements, reflecting its dedication to producing safe, high-quality hygiene products for global consumers.

Owing to the achievements the company has received recognitions by top government of Ghana officials including the Vice President, Professor Naana Jane Opoku Agyemang, the minister for education Haruna Iddrisu, the minister fortrade, industry and agribusiness, Elizabeth Ofosu Agyare and minister for gender, children and social protection, Agnes Naa Momo Lartey, as well as female members of parliament among others public figures who have visited the production site and expressed satisfaction over their operations.
