The Supreme Court has adjourned indefinitely a review application filed by National Democratic Congress (NDC) parliamentary candidate, Daniel Nsala Wakpal, seeking to overturn the apex court’s 4-1 decision nullifying the 2024 election and ordering a rerun.
On January 28 this year, the apex court quashed the High Court’s order on Matthew Nyindam’s election as Member of Parliament for Kpandai.
Unhappy with the decision, which was taken by a majority of four to one, with Justice Gabriel Pwamang dissenting, the NDC candidate filed for a review.
On Tuesday, April 14, 2026, when the case was to be heard, Justice Gabriel Pwamang, who was the president of the panel that dealt with the case but was in another case, indicated to the parties that there was a mishap and therefore the case had to be adjourned indefinitely and a new date communicated to the parties.
At this point, Gary Nimako Marfo, who is Counsel for Matthew Nyindam of the NPP, said the parties have had a discussion, but want the lawyer for the applicant to communicate that to the Court.

Counsel for the applicant (NDC Candidate), Sika Abla Addo, indicated that his client has considered a withdrawal of the application, but Justice Pwamang immediately indicated that that would have to be put before the enhanced or reviewed panel.
The case has since been adjourned sine die (indefinitely).
