President John Dramani Mahama has once again appealed to the people of Bawku in the Upper East region to embrace peace and unity for the progress of their community and the nation.
Addressing the congregation after Eid-Ul-Fitr prayers marking the end of Ramadan, President Mahama urged the feuding parties in Bawku to give peace a chance.
He observed that the sacred occasion is a time for reflection, reconciliation, and renewal of faith, making it the perfect moment to foster harmony.
President Mahama further called on all factions to set aside their differences, prioritize dialogue, and work towards lasting peace after decades of violent chieftaincy disputes.
“And on this, I want to take the opportunity once again to call on our brothers and sisters in Bawku to give peace a chance. On this holy occasion, where we celebrate Ed-Ul-Fitr after the holy month of Ramadan, my brothers and sisters in Bawku, let us give peace a chance.
“Once again, I send my warmest wishes to all Muslims in Ghana and all over the world. Ed-Mubarak”, President Mahama stated.
