Former Black Stars defender, Emmanuel Armah Senegal has vowed that the Black Stars ‘B’ will be fired up to beat title contenders the Eagles of Nigeria in their final WAFU Cup Group A clash to advance to the semi-finals of the sub-regional tournament.
The Eagles are hard pressed to get a result today against an already-qualified home team after they could only manage two draws thus far.
Mali or Guinea could advance from Group A if they win their last group games and Nigeria fail to beat Ghana.
Ghana face Nigeria in Cape Coast, while Mali tackle Guinea in Ndoum Stadium in Elmina with both games kicking off at the same time,6pm local time, 7pm Nigerian time.
“Games between Ghana and Nigeria is always crucial, though we have qualified already we need to beat them to set the records straight. We only have to be at our best and be determined and we will win. I always remember Senegal 1992 when they were better than us on paper but defeated them by 2-1,” Armah told Starr Sports.
