The 2005 Year Group of Wesley Girls’ High School, known as MMV, has embarked on a Mother’s Day community outreach initiative as part of activities leading to the school’s 190th Speech Day celebrations.
The outreach exercise, held at Amasaman, formed part of the group’s commitment to service, compassion, and social impact; values deeply rooted in the Wesley Girls’ tradition.

Through the initiative, support was extended to selected mothers and families through the settlement of medical bills, donation packages, and other welfare assistance aimed at improving their well-being.
The outreach also received support from sponsors and collaborators, including PZ Cussons, whose sponsorship package contributed to enhancing the impact of the exercise.
Members of the MMV fraternity and volunteers also joined efforts in a strong display of sisterhood and community service to prepare and distribute care packages to beneficiaries.

Speaking on the initiative, representatives of the group said the outreach reflects the spirit of gratitude and responsibility that underpins the journey toward the school’s 190th Speech Day celebrations.
According to them, beyond commemorating the historic milestone, the MMVs hope to use the occasion to make meaningful contributions to society and positively impact lives within communities.

The group further indicated that the outreach marks the beginning of several activities planned ahead of the celebrations, with official fundraising activities expected to be launched in the coming weeks.
The MMVs also expressed appreciation to all sponsors, volunteers, contributors, and partners whose support helped make the outreach exercise successful.
