Italian outfit Inter Milan have confirmed the acquisition of Ghana international Kwadwo Asamoah.
The midfielder, who can also play at the left side of defence, joins the Nerazzurri as a free agent from Juventus.
He has signed a three-year contract, which keeps him at Stadio Giuseppe Meazza until 2021.
“Inter can announce that a contract has been agreed with Kwadwo Asamoah that will run from 1 July 2018 to 30 June 2021,” the club announced via their official website.
“Now, a new chapter is starting for Kwadwo with the Nerazzurri. Welcome Asamoah and best of luck for this adventure at Inter!”
Asamoah left Juventus at the end of last season after rejecting an offer to sign a new deal.
His heart was set on a new challenge after being reduced to a squad player over the past few seasons. Injuries contributed a major part to that situation.
He left the Allianz Stadium after six years with six Serie A titles, four Coppa Italia winner’s medals and three Super Cup titles.
He joined the Old Lady from Udinese in 2012, having earlier played for Liberty Professionals in his homeland.
Fellow Serie A clubs AS Roma and AC Milan reportedly showed interest in the Accra-born, who came close to sealing a move to Turkish outfit Galatasaray last summer.
