GIG Mobility (GIGM), a technologically powered transport platform, is set to enter the Ghanaian intercity transportation sector with a pledge to deliver quality service, comfort and safety.

The company announced its expansion into the Ghanaian market this week with the opening of their flagship terminals in Accra and Kumasi.

The Chief Operating Officer, Vuakpor Muoghereh, said “With over 20 years in service to travellers, we have consistently reinvented the wheel by focusing on exceptional customer experience, leveraging technology to build innovative solutions.

She added that, “From our professional captains (drivers) who are carefully screened and undergo continuous professional development, to our fleet which is by every standard the best in the industry and then to our safety procedures which are meticulously followed through, GIGM is a game-changer for public intercity transportation services” , the company will be officials launch on Friday.

The expansion into Ghana is in line with the company’s agenda to provide great customer experience for commuters across Africa.

“We are committed to moving people across cities easily and safely.

GIGM has launched several technology-driven tools to redefine transportation, including its booking app available on Google play store and iOS for Apple users and its in-house built enterprise partner app which allows interested investors to operate within the transport industry through the GIGM enterprise partner model,” she said.

Part of the innovation the company is bringing into the Ghanaian transportation market is the introduction of their mobile app for ticket booking, vehicle hire and pick up service.

“The user simply needs to download the GIGM app on the Google play store and the app store for iOS (Apple) users and sign up and commence use by filling up the itinerary for travel. Using the GIGM pick up service is a lot more convenient and faster. You simply indicate your destination under the pick-me-up button the mobile app and the nearest pickup points are displayed for selection.

“GIGM is contributing to global transportation where commuters have the power to move around cities at their convenience. We are also delighted to be players and contributors to the growing economy in Ghana,” the statement said.

To launch the GIGM service in Ghana, the company is offering discounted rates to /from Accra and Kumasi so that Ghanaians could try the new service for inter-regional travel.
