A family of four is in a helpless condition after a building collapsed on them during heavy downpour at Breman Kwanankwaa in the Central Region.
The sad incident happened on Sunday May 22, 2022 morning around 10:30 AM during a heavy downpour leaving a 3-year-old in critical condition.
The victim Maame Esi was asleep when the building collapsed on her and the family.
Reports gathered revealed that the Mother of the victim and her two other siblings ran away when the building was about to collapse leaving the victim in the room alone.
Speaking in an interview with Kasapa FM news Yaw Boagyan, the Unit Committee Chairman, Breman Kwanankwaa, Mr. Felix Kwetey, said because the family could not afford the hospital bill they delayed for over three hours before the Unit Committee Members mobilized some funds for them.
The Unit Committee Chairman, therefore, is appealing to the general public to assist the family with funds in order to take care of the victim.
The victim is currently on admission at the Our Lady of Grace Government Hospital at Breman Asikuma.
