The Member of Parliament of Parliament, Okaikwei Central Patrick Yaw Boamah has engaged stakeholders and discussed the phase two project of the Apenkwa CHPS Compound in Okaikwei Central Constituency.

The project aims to enhance the facility by adding a maternity/delivery ward, a consulting room, and a general ward to better cater to the community’s healthcare needs.

Architect for the Project, Patrick Odame emphasized the utilization of the available space for the project, ensuring optimal functionality.

The planned features include a consulting room, delivery room, lying ward with washrooms, two WC, and two showers. Additionally, a recovery room and lying wards with a minimum of four beds each will be established.

Waste management is also a priority for the project, with liquid waste disposal directed to a septic tank and solid waste transported to other hospitals for appropriate handling.

Dr. Adjabeng, the Municipal Health Director, expressed satisfaction with the project and pledged her support to the Hon. Mp for his continued dedication to the wellbeing of his constituents. The project is scheduled for completion by the end of the year.

During the meeting, the Member of Parliament for the area, Patrick Boamah reassured the community of his unwavering support for their welfare, as evidenced by the successful renovation of the first phase of the CHPS compound two months ago.

Rev. Fianko, speaking on behalf of the community elders, expressed heartfelt appreciation for the project’s initiation, emphasizing the importance of community support for its smooth execution.

The estimated cost of the project is around 200,000 Ghana cedis, and it is entirely sponsored by the diligent efforts of Hon. Patrick Boamah.

This project comes after the complete renovation of the first phase of the CHPS compound 2 months ago by the Hon Patrick Yaw Boamah.

Among the attendees were Samuel Sassu, PCG Estate and Property Officer; Alfred Quartey and Patrick Odame, both Architects; Rev. Solomon Fianko Gyamfi from PCG Apenkwa; and members of the CHPS Compound Management Committee.

The project marks another significant step in improving healthcare facilities in the area, promising better access to vital services for the community.
