Minister for Education, Haruna Iddrisu has reaffirmed the government’s commitment to improving educational infrastructure across the country.
He gave the assurance during his visit to the La Salem School, one of the centers in the La-Dedekotopon Municipality as part of his continuous monitoring of the ongoing Basic Education Certification Examination (BECE) across the country on Monday, June 15, 2025.
During his visit, Mr. Iddrisu engaged with pupils and teachers, assuring them that the Mahama-led NDC administration prioritizes strategic investments in modern teaching and learning environments as central to its vision of raising the standard of education.
“The road I pass was not good. So it means I know coming to school, you suffer on a bad road,” he noted.

He continued “As I’ve come, I’ve seen the infrastructure of the school. Windows not good, roof not good, [and] doors not good [but] We learn. So if there is government intervention, we will prioritize this LA schools for you.”
The Minister’s visit is aimed to assess candidates’ preparedness, provide encouragement and underscore the government’s commitment to a smooth and credible examination process nationwide.
Mr. Iddrisu further candidates to eschew exam malpractice and uphold discipline and integrity throughout the process.
Meanwhile, the minister was accompanied by the Director-General of the Ghana Education Service (GES) and other officials including Member of Parliament for La-Dadekotopon, Rita Naa Odorley Sorwah.
