The NDC emphasized that nomination forms can only be collected and submitted at the Party’s Northern Regional Office. Payments, it added, must be made into the Party’s official account at UMB Bank, Adabraka branch, with no cheques or bank drafts accepted.

Meanwhile, the opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP) has announced that it will not participate in the contest, citing respect for the late MP and the prevailing atmosphere of mourning. Political analysts, however, believe the NPP’s decision also reflects the constituency’s status as an NDC stronghold.
The NDC has called on aspirants and stakeholders to conduct their campaigns with fairness, unity, and decorum in order to safeguard the integrity of the Party’s internal processes.
