The Ghana Police Service has launched an investigation following a viral video showing a student being pelted with stones.
According to the Service, the incident is believed to involve a student of Obrachire Senior High Technical School and students from the Swedru School of Business (SWESBUS) during this year’s district inter-schools athletics competition.
The confrontation reportedly occurred on Thursday, February 19, 2026, in Agona Swedru, after tensions between the two schools escalated into violence as one student is allegedly fighting for his life.
In a statement posted on X on Monday, February 23, 2026, the Ghana Police Service strongly condemned the attack and assured the public that all individuals involved will be identified and held accountable.
The Police added that investigations are ongoing, and updates will be provided as the situation develops.
