Two police officers stationed at Ofoase in the Akyemansa District of the Eastern Region have died following a tragic motorbike crash.
The officers, identified as Lance Corporal Anti Isaac and Constable Thomas Allonyor, were reportedly off duty at the time of the incident.
According to reports, the two were riding on a motorbike from Ofoase towards Ayirebi to purchase meat to prepare an evening meal when they rammed into a stationary tricycle along the Ofoase–Ayirebi road.
They were rushed to a nearby hospital for treatment but later succumbed to their injuries.
The bodies of the deceased officers have since been deposited at a morgue as police commence further investigations into the incident.
