Heath Goldfields has rejected what it describes as “inaccurate, incomplete and misleading” public commentary regarding its operations at the Bogoso-Prestea Gold Mine.

In a statement issued on April 22, 2026, the company said allegations currently in circulation “misrepresent material facts and the legal and operational framework within which the Company conducts its business.”

The company expressed concern over the potential impact of such claims, noting that the information could mislead workers, host communities and the general public.

“Heath Goldfields is committed to transparent communication through proper and verifiable channels,” the statement said, adding that it will continue to engage with regulators, its workforce and other stakeholders accordingly.

The company confirmed that operations at the Bogoso-Prestea mine remain active and are being carried out under an approved Mine Development Plan.

It further stated that activities are being conducted under the supervision of the Minerals Commission of Ghana, in line with established regulatory requirements.

“All financing and operational matters are being undertaken within the applicable regulatory framework,” the company noted, emphasizing its continued focus on executing its development plan.

Heath Goldfields indicated that details on its operational progress, community initiatives and long-term development priorities will be communicated in subsequent announcements.

The company also signaled possible legal action against individuals or entities responsible for what it termed false or damaging claims, stating that it “reserves all of its rights in respect of statements that are false, misleading or injurious to its reputation.”
