The Black Queens of Ghana have booked their place at the 2026 CAF Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON) after dismantling Egypt with a commanding 7-0 aggregate victory.
Ghana laid the foundation for qualification in the first leg with a 3-0 triumph at the Suez Canal Stadium in Ismailia, before wrapping up the job in style at the Accra Sports Stadium.
Despite a cagey first half at home, the Queens unleashed a dominant second-half display, netting four unanswered goals to seal the deal.
Star forward Doris Boaduwaa was the standout performer, bagging a brilliant hat-trick, while defender Comfort Yeboah also found the back of the net to complete the rout.
The result marks consecutive WAFCON appearances for the Black Queens a major milestone in their return to continental prominence and a confidence boost as they eye qualification for the next FIFA Women’s World Cup.
