Ghanaian actor and entrepreneur Mawuli Gavor has surprised American R&B icon Sisqó with a custom Caveman timepiece worth over GHC300,000, celebrating craftsmanship, friendship, and African innovation in luxury design.

The special presentation took place during Sisqó’s visit to Ghana, where the “Thong Song” hitmaker was moved by the gesture. The watch, designed and handcrafted by Caveman Watches, Ghana’s premier luxury timepiece brand, symbolizes the country’s growing influence in global fashion and craftsmanship.

The custom-made Caveman Dragon Edition timepiece features an exquisitely hand-engraved gold dragon across the dial, a symbol of power, strength, and wisdom. Its open-heart mechanical movement showcases the intricate gears in motion, revealing Caveman’s mastery of fine watchmaking. The dual-tone gold and black finish, complemented by sapphire crystal glass and a 316L stainless steel case, combines elegance with durability.

The design is completed with a premium black leather strap and personalized engravings, making the watch a true collector’s piece. Each component was hand-made in Accra, embodying Caveman’s fusion of African artistry and world-class horology.

Speaking on the gesture, Mawuli Gavor said the gift was a token of appreciation and cultural exchange.

“This is more than just a watch,  it’s a statement of African excellence and craftsmanship. Sisqó has inspired so many people worldwide, and I wanted him to take home a piece of Ghana’s creative brilliance.”

Caveman Watches CEO Anthony Dzamefe expressed gratitude for the recognition of his brand’s work.

“Our mission has always been to create timepieces that tell African stories with global appeal. This gift represents that.  precision, pride, and purpose.”

About Caveman Watches

The brand has gained global acclaim, earning mentions in The New York Times and creating bespoke watches for international icons such as Beyoncé, Angélique Kidjo, Don Jazzy, and Jeremiah Owusu-Koramoah.

With awards including Brand of the Year (EMY Africa Awards 2021) and Product of the Year (Blue Volta, Ghana Manufacturing Awards), Caveman has solidified its reputation as a symbol of African excellence in horology.

Beyond its luxury appeal, Caveman champions community impact through employment creation and water projects in underserved regions, proving that elegance and purpose can coexist.
