Decision makers converge at Dataware Tech and Yadaba Communications’ AI workshop

Dataware Tech, in collaboration with Yadaba Communications has successfully hosted its two-day workshop on the theme ‘AI-Driven Retail Revolution: Empowering Decision Makers with Data Analytics for Sustainability’.

The workshop which took place on September 10-11, 2024 at the Airport View Hotel, Accra brought together key leaders from top and middle management roles across various sectors, including retail, oil and gas. Notable participants included representatives from ZEN Petroleum, Allied Oil, Electro Land, and Xpress Gas.

Focus of the Workshop

The workshop was centered on equipping decision-makers with practical skills on how to harness artificial intelligence (AI) and data analytics to revolutionize their business operations. Participants were provided with a step-by-step guide to leveraging these tools for better decision-making, operational efficiency, and sustainable growth.

Nana Kojo Hagan, a Business Intelligence Specialist from Dataware Tech set the tone by emphasizing the transformative power of AI in today’s business landscape. He emphasized the fact that AI and data analytics are no longer the future but the present. “Organizations that adopt these technologies can not only streamline their operations but also create sustainable value for their businesses.”

He revealed that the workshop, has “offered participants practical solutions they can implement to drive growth and efficiency.”

Key Themes and Learning Outcomes

During the two-day series, participants delved deep into several key areas, including:

  • Data Analytics for Strategic Decision Making: This session highlighted how companies can utilize AI and data analytics to make data-driven decisions that improve profitability and efficiency.
  • AI-Powered Customer Insights: Attendees learned how to apply AI to gain deeper insights into customer behavior, enabling personalized services and enhanced customer experiences.
  • Sustainability Through AI: A special focus was placed on using AI for sustainable practices, such as optimizing supply chains, reducing waste, and managing resources more effectively.

Lead facilitator and a renowned expert in AI and Business Intelligence, Jeremiah Ishaya, took participants through the practical session on how they can harness these tools for a competitive edge.

Commenting at the end of the two-day workshop, he said: “We are in an era where data is a company’s most valuable asset. Leveraging AI to analyze this data helps businesses anticipate market trends and make better decisions faster. Companies that act on these insights will lead the market.”

Participant feedback and insights

The hands-on exercises and case studies were well-received by participants, who expressed their excitement about applying what they had learned to their respective industries.

David, a participant from ZEN Petroleum, said: “This workshop has opened my eyes to the vast opportunities that AI offers in optimizing our supply chain and understanding customer behavior. I now feel empowered to introduce AI tools that will not only enhance our operations but also contribute to sustainability.”

Mr. Zechariah from Electroland Ghana echoed similar sentiments, stating that: “The sessions were insightful, particularly on using data analytics to predict consumer demand and manage our resources more efficiently. This knowledge will definitely help us stay ahead in a competitive market.”

Conclusion and future prospects

The workshop concluded with participants leaving with a strong grasp of how to implement AI and data analytics into their business models. Many voiced the need for continuous learning, especially in rapidly evolving fields such as AI.

The success of this event has sparked discussions for future workshops, with plans to offer more advanced sessions and delve deeper into industry-specific applications of AI. Both Dataware Tech and Yadaba Communications are committed to supporting businesses in their AI journey, helping them harness technology for sustainable success.
