George Agyapong Boateng is his real name, but he is Popularly Known in Koforidua as “Abosuo”- a chop bar operator whose food is widely patronized in the Eastern Regional capital.
Abosuo started operating Chop Bar at age 30 despite social stigma. At age 50, Mr. Agyapong Boateng still operates the popular Abosuo Chop Bar which now has two branches with total daily average patronage of 700 customers.
He prepares variety of local dishes with Fufu and Aponkye Nkrakra, Abunabunu, and Tilapia soups mostly patronized.
He works everyday to serve his customers who have developed irresistible appetite for his delicious food.
As Ghana joins the rest of the world to celebrate Father’s Day, Starr News interacted with this enterprising Male chop bar operator also a father of eight.
According him, operating a chop has really helped him generate income to cater for his family and undertake other projects.
He advised men not to shy in engaging in businesses that are deemed to be for women and develop the right attitude to work.
“there is no work reserve exclusively for a female or male. If you are a man you want to do it you can do it”.
He added: ” there is job opportunities in Ghana but people think of only white colour job. Put aside shyness and work in the area because that is where you can succeed. selling of food is a good business that if you do it well and carve a niche for yourself, you will never regret “.
On father’s Day Celebration, he advised men to be responsible by taking good care of their children by working hard regardless the type of job they do.
