Asante Kotoko’s latest winless streak in the Premier League continued with another defeat in Wa.
The Porcupine Warriors went down 1:0 to All Stars courtesy a goal by Kweku Baffuor Asuandzie, and Kotoko have now gone five matches without a win in the league since beating WAFA on week seven.
Kotoko have since lost significant ground in the title race, slipping down from the top of the table to third and seven points behind leaders WAFA.
Leaders WAFA continued with their incredible run in the league with a fifth successive win. The leaders beat Bolga All Stars 2:0 with Caleb Amankwah and Gideon Waja scoring the match winner.
In Dormaa Ahenkro, second placed Aduana Stars thrashed Tema Youth 3:0 to keep up pace with leaders WAFA. Noah Martey, Nathaniel Asamoah and Tank Mohammed Ismail got the goals for Aduana to keep them at second-place, and a point behind.
Elmina Sharks held Hearts of Oak to a 1:1 draw in Accra, in another impressive away result by Sharks. Joseph Mensah gave the visitors the lead but Winful Cobbinah equalised to rescue a point for the Phobians.
