Ghana’s 2021 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against South Africa,pitch invader,Awal Suleman has finally met his idol Thomas Partey.
Awal, a Nalerigu Nursing Training College nursing student ran onto the pitch in a desperate attempt to take a selfie with the Atlético Madrid midfielder.
But stewards and security men present made it impossible by arresting the mischievous Partey fan and was later detained at the University of Cape Coast Stadium for 48 hours.
Upon his release, his dream finally became a reality as Partey arranged to meet him before departing for club duties in Spain.
Not only did he get his picture, Partey also gifted Suleman a signed Black Stars jersey.
Meanwhile, a Cape Coast Circuit Court ‘B’ has fined Awal GhC2,400 and have been asked to sign a bond of good behaviour or in default serve 3 months in prison.
