The University of Ghana has handed out two-year suspensions to 14 students for misconduct, reinforcing its stance on discipline and respect for institutional regulations.
In a statement issued Monday, June 16, the university authorities disclosed that the affected students were involved in various acts of disorderly behavior. The suspensions followed a series of investigations led by the university’s Disciplinary Committee.
The students, now barred from both academic and extracurricular activities, will not be allowed to take part in any campus-related engagements during the suspension period.
In a broader move to uphold academic standards, the university also announced sanctions against 97 students found guilty of examination malpractice. After individual hearings confirmed their violations, appropriate penalties were imposed in line with university policies.
