Ghanaian-owned fintech brand, Zuberi, has organised an exclusive event for members of their financial community.

According to the managers, the event, which was held on Saturday, August 27, was in response to the numerous inquiries they received on how members on their waitlist could land roles in the fast-growing technology industry.

The event featured 8 speakers from the Zuberi team who shared their insights and experiences in the tech world. Specifically, how they landed themselves into tech roles, what they do and the skills required to be great at it.

Julian Owusu, CEO of Zuberi, kicked off the event by telling the story of Zuberi’s inception.

“It started as a pilot project on a WhatsApp group to allow workers to always have their money with them. It kept growing and evolving in a huge space where we realized we were not just building an app or paying salaries to people but we were building a financial community that empowers the African worker”.

The event highlighted how the members of the Zuberi Community can build themselves to land any role in the tech industry and the entrepreneurial opportunities available to them.

Head of Marketing at Zuberi, Afia Gyamera explains “Tech roles are not limited to just developers but span across a wide range of different roles from data analysts, to finance, marketing and design related roles. To successfully land a job in the tech industry, it is important to position yourself properly by spending time studying relevant content and sharing your experiences online so potential employers can find you”.

Attendees, who were mainly members on their waitlist, got to see the newest version of the yet-to-launch Zuberi App. They experienced how all the new products and features are being built and shared their opinions.

Nana Adomako, Co-Founder of Zuberi added that “Zuberi intends to organize more of these impactful events to build a financial community in Ghana that empowers workers to exist”.
