On the 19th day of March, 2019 we published on our media networks starrfm.com.gh and Star FM a story headed “Asiedu Nketia Slapped with GH₵600 in GH₵15m defamation suit”.
In the said publications we stated that the High Court, Accra on the 19th day of March, 2019 had awarded cost of GH₵ 600.00 (six hundred Ghana Cedis) against Johnson Asiedu Nketia, the General Secretary of the National Democratic congress in a suit brought against him (Johnson Asiedu Nketiah) by Professor Dua Agyeman.
The said publication was carried and re-published by a number of media networks.
Our attention has after the publication been drawn to the fact that the content of the said publication is wrong and does not reflect what transpired in court on the 19th day of March,2019.
The High Court rather awarded cost of GH₵600.00 (six hundred Ghana Cedis) against Professor Dua Agyeman in favour of Johnson Asiedu Nketiah in the said suit.
We therefore state that we inadvertently erred when we published that the High Court had awarded cost of GH₵600.00 (six hundred Ghana Cedis) against Johnson Asiedu Nketia.
We are therefore by this publication unreservedly apologizing to Johnson Asiedu Nketia, the General Secretary of the National Democratic Congress for the publication we inadvertently made on the 19th day of March, 2019.
