The National Steering Committee of the governing NPP has written to 2024 flagbearer hopeful, Alan Kyerematen, over the health walk held in Kumasi by supporters last weekend.
In a statement the party noted other party members have been written to over similar campaign activities.
According to the party, the Trade Minister will be answering questions bothering on the massive walk dubbed “Aduro Wo So” organized in his name at Kumasi in the Ashanti Region on Sunday contrary to the party’s code of conduct.
“Subsequently, the attention of the National Steering Committee of the party was drawn to these instance during the Committee’s meeting on Monday, August 15, 2022. The Committee resolved that Hon. Ekow Vincent Assafuah and Mr. Hopeson Adorye be invited to appear before the National Complaints Committee as provided for in the party’s Code of Conduct.
“Additionally, under the instruction of the National Steering Committee, Mr. Alan Kyerematen has been written to in respect of the “Aduro Wo So Health Walk” that was organized in his name,” the General Secretary of the party, Justin Frimpong Kodua indicated in a statement date August 17, 2022.
