EIB Save a Soul Foundation through its initiative has supported the successful Pituitary Macroadenoma surgery of Miss Abena Pomaa Aseidu.

The Ghanaian entrepreneur was able to undergo this surgery through kind courtesy, of donations from the general public through EIB’s Save Soul Foundation. The foundation raised GHS 90, 000 to aid her surgery in America.

She was diagnosed with Pituitary Macroadenoma, with a mass effect blinding her left eye, as well as her menstrual cycle and others were affected.

In her narration as posted on GoFundMe, Abena, the COO of Mikwats Fresh Squeeze, a natural fruit juice processing company in Ghana said she is losing her sight, and suffering severe headaches, among others. “I have been having periodic headaches and my menses wouldn’t stop even to date. My endocrinologist also got alarmed and requested an MRI immediately because my hormonal levels were extremely low,” Abena said.

The hardworking lady indicated that she first realized something was wrong in February when she nearly got involved in an accident because she did not see a car approaching hers.

Head of CSR for EIB Network Adriana Akosua Adjei was grateful to everyone who supported in diverse ways and assured them that their support will always be put to the purpose for which they donated.
