Ghana is set to host the Mining and Minerals Convention 2025, a landmark industry event expected to redefine the country’s gold and minerals sector. The two-day convention will take place from tomorrow, September 9 – 10, 2025 at the Kempinski Gold Coast Hotel, Accra, running from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily.

Organised by MeetingsCo in collaboration with leading industry institutions, the event will run under the theme “Shaping the Future of Ghana.” It will gather high-profile stakeholders across the mining value chain, including government officials, mining executives, investors, policymakers, sustainability experts, and innovators.

The keynote address will be delivered by Hon. Julius Debrah, Chief of Staff of the Republic of Ghana. Special guests include the Minister of Lands and Natural Resources and Mr. Sammy Gyamfi, CEO of the Ghana Gold Board (GoldBod), alongside other distinguished industry figures.

According to organisers, the convention aims to foster forward-looking dialogue on sustainable development, innovation, and investment in Ghana’s mineral wealth; particularly gold. Key highlights will include presidential and ministerial addresses, high-level policy panels, and technical sessions on Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) frameworks, digital innovations in mining, responsible sourcing, and value addition in the gold industry.

Backed by strategic partners such as the Ministry of Lands and Natural Resources, the Minerals Commission, the Ghana Gold Board, the Minerals Income and Investment Fund (MIIF), and the Ghana Extractive Industries Transparency Initiative (GEITI), the convention is positioned as a game-changing platform for investment and collaboration.

The Mining and Minerals Convention 2025 will also serve as a major public-private interface, creating opportunities for partnerships, capacity building, and the formulation of policies that promote transparency and resilience in the sector.
