Director of Operations for Kennedy Agyapong’s Presidential campaign, Charles Bissue has expressed strong confidence that all factions within the New Patriotic Party (NPP) will rally behind the former Assin Central MP should he emerge victorious in the party’s presidential primary scheduled for January 2026.

Speaking during a panel discussion on Metro TV on Saturday, October 4, 2025, Bissue noted that Agyapong’s campaign is gaining significant traction across the country and resonating with grassroots delegates.

“So far, it is going well. We usually prefer to work quietly and let others assess our impact. Kennedy Agyapong launched a strong push from the Western and Western North regions, directly engaging with the actual delegates,” Bissue stated.

He highlighted that unlike other contenders who tend to focus primarily on constituency executives, Kennedy Agyapong’s strategy centres on connecting directly with the delegates who will vote in the primary.

“These delegates are the ones who will do the real groundwork; door-to-door campaigning; once he becomes flagbearer. That’s why he is personally visiting all 276 constituencies. He believes in showing appreciation and respect to the people who matter most in this process,” Bissue explained.

Dubbed the “Unity Tour,” the campaign not only aims to mobilize support for Agyapong but also seeks to foster cohesion within the NPP.

“We are optimistic. As a party, I believe that once he secures the nomination, all other factions will come on board. The tour itself is themed around unity,” he added.

Bissue also described the campaign as part of a broader movement driven by what he termed “positive aggression” – a political style that combines boldness with constructive intent.

“There’s something we call ‘positive aggression.’ He speaks the truth plainly. What Ghana needs now is political revolution – not through violence, but through bold democratic transformation,” he stated.
